Billion Tree Funding Applications
At present, Te Uru Rakau (Forestry New Zealand), is providing direct and partnership grants to rural landowners for the planting of native and exotic trees on land which is currently not forested. Generally speaking, grants of $2,000-$5,000 per hectare (and possibly more in some situations) are available to successful applicants. Professional forest planning information is required to support applications. We are currently working in this area for clients, and we can help prepare applications with our proven carbon and forestry expertise. We also cover regional and district council requirements. We are recommending that owners with marginal lands that could benefit from a tree crop take advantage of this programme. Get in touch with us for more information.
