Set out below is our March 2024 NZETS Carbon Revenue Projection based on the New Zealand Government's auction price settings for 2024, and showing revenues using key NZU carbon credit values. The projections give average gross revenues per hectare per year over the first 30 years of a tree species' growing period.
New Zealand Government auction floor price, Tier 1 and Tier 2 prices are illustrated as reference points. As of noon today, 28 March 2024, the secondary market price was $58 per unit (Jarden Securities).
Please note that this table represents only gross revenue per hectare. Costs need to calculated individually for each forest.
