Application to join your Post-1989 Forest to the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZETS)

• Review of your forest and property details to see if it qualifies for registration in the NZETS
• Obtain holding account number from NZEPA (if required)
• Preparation of application to MPI
  • Prepare Application Form
  • Prepare and complete Approved Representative Form
  • Prepare 2D GIS mapping files
  • Include owner's forestry and property photos and other information in support of application
  • Summary of Application
• Send applicant draft application for approval to lodge 
• Lodge application in MPI's Tupu-ake portal (compulsory)

• Free carbon credit trading account with Carbon Equities New Zealand Limited (our sister carbon trading company - brokerage advised per trade)
• Free membership of the KiwiCarbonCollective, where members can conduct small (>100 units) and large private trades confidentially between themselves using CEQNZ as carbon broker

• Answer MPI queries following lodgement
• Site visit
• Drone mapping GIS in 2D and 3D
• Carbon revenue projection annually to 2050 (three NZU unit price scenarios)
• Potential voluntary credits from unprotected Pre-1990 native forest

 

Fees:

• GreenXperts' standard fee of $5,000 (excl GST)
• MPI fee included (by forest size). No mark-up
• We reserve the right to advise the client of additional fees if the scope of the application required is beyond our standard service specification. These fees must be paid before proceeding.

 

Application fee per forest includes MPI fee and GST and is non-refundable.

Professional services are carried out in accordance with our standard Contract.

Draft application in .pdf form for your approval to lodge is delivered to your nominated e-mail address within 10-20 working days of fee payment and or receipt of all required information. Copy of final application sent to you. Full records of your forest kept in secure cloud server.
